Here is the original article on how to make a Hula Hoop Rug from Family Fun.
And here's another example:
From this site.
I think I might make some adjustments so that the edges are smoother, but it looks like a fun way to put some of those old t shirts to use!
So, have you done any crafting lately? If you'd like to send me your photos, I'll post some of them here.
Best Wishes,

What a great idea. You could use a lot of other resources, apart from T-shirts.

Mary, yes, it might be fun to see what types of scraps I have that would work here. I like the whole recycling something that has outlived its usefulness into something pretty idea.
ReplyDeleteHey there, Myrna!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat way to recycle!
One easy schmeezy thing I did years ago was to take my kids' crib mobiles and cut off the items hanging so that I could hang them on my Christmas tree instead. Now, 20+ years later, they are still hanging on our tree and are a lovely memory for all to share. One mobile was the moon, stars, etc.; another was clowns and circus animals; and yet another was Winnie-the-Pooh characters.
Elaine, that's a great idea! I love having things on the tree that bring back memories (we have lots of ornaments made for or by our children when they were small).
