The following video is from the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. They have an annual glass pumpkin event (as do other places, including MIT). If there are no glass pumpkin patches near you, check out the local art galleries, or if you're in a purchasing mood, Etsy has many of them for sale.
For the finishing touch, here is the world's largest blown glass pumpkin. This is from the Corning Glass Museum and this was made in 2009 (so it may have been surpassed since then). It took five tries and an entire team of glass blowers to create it.

ReplyDeleteI would love to have one or two of these myself. I'm not much of a collector, but I do have a weakness for blown glass. I'm kicking myself because I missed a local blown glass pumpkin fest (next year, for sure).
