I read an article on Cloud Atlas yesterday. The trailer has been out for awhile, so you may have seen it. Looks intriguing (in U.S. theaters October 26th).
And I have it straight from a trusted friend's mouth (along with lots of Rotten Tomatoes reviews) that Ruby Sparks is worth a look (out on DVD October 30th).
(If you've seen this one, tell me what you thought).

I just heard about Cloud Atlas on TV yesterday. Saw Tom Hanks, but didn't realize all the others involved. Wow! Halle Berry ... Hugh Grant ... Susan Sarandon ... Ian McKellen ... and a whole bunch more. I don't think I could watch the entire movie, as it seems to keep changing all the time and would surely lose me along the way (which is one of the reasons I rarely watch movies). Still, I am now watching for Tom Hanks to be on the talk shows promoting it, so I'll see a few more clips along the way.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it!
Don't you just love him? He seems so warm and genuine. One of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOne of the late-night hosts was talking about Tom Hanks on my taped shows last night (so was way back in late June when televised). Host said Tom Hanks was his favourite guest, as he is naturally funny and will go along with pretty well everything. I can attest to that. They showed footage of a big wave coming toward him and the host, and then they dropped a pail of water on him (and his suit) as if it was the wave from the film. Not many guys would go through with all that, just because it was funny. He's the same on SNL when he hosts, and I'm thrilled when he does cameos for other hosts too.
