This one isn't finished yet, but I like it.
Here's the blog post about the quilt below (and what an amazing quilt it is)!

There is such an art to quilting. Not something I've ever tried. My GP quilts. All around her surgery she has different quilts up on the walls.
ReplyDeleteThe woman across the street (years after she and her son died, I learned she was my paternal grandmother) quilted and she'd let me "help" by stitching, on occasion. Sure hurts the fingers if you don't wear a thimble! (Maybe I was doing it wrong, though, LOL!) I can't bear to part with a couple of her quilts and hope to some day put them on our guest room bed (if/when either of my kids moves out so I HAVE a guest room)!
ReplyDeleteI had an aunt who had a quilting frame suspended from the ceiling of her living room. Her wedding present to me was a wedding ring quilt. It's beautiful. Some of the quilts I've seen are absolute works of art.
