An Eclectic Mix of Internet Gems Combined with a Multi-published Author's Writing Tips and Book Recommendations.
Yeah. Someone sent that to me yesterday or the day before.I am NOT a paperless person. When my computer crashes (notice I didn't say "if"), I still have my printed version of addresses, etc. I don't have a computer in every room of my house, so I keep printed copies of, let's say, my recipes so I can easily access them in the kitchen. I am also one of the few people left who regularly uses a telephone book to look up local numbers, rather than going to a web site to look it up....
I wouldn't say that I'm paperless (I'll always love paper), but I do use less of it now than I once did. I still like phone books, too, but...so many businesses aren't listing in the phone book any more that it's sometimes frustrating, so I tend to use both a phone book and the internet. I have an external drive for backups and sometimes I email things I want an extra copy of to my cloud-based address just to be on the safe side. But I still print out recipes I've found online, because I can't imagine trying to cook something while looking at a computer screen. I do confess that I've become a bit of an internet snob in the sense that if a business doesn't have at least a basic website, I'll probably move on to the next business. I want to, at minimum, be able to access business hours and a map.
