There actually are some still shots somewhere. If I get some time later (revisions due tomorrow), I'll update the post with the links. What I liked about the video was being able to see the people/artist volunteers in action making the tracks in a few places.

Elaine, maybe I'll have to post some other videos. I've actually visited quite a bit of Canada, not just the mountains (I think I did an earlier post on the Bay of Fundy). At any rate, I still want to post some things on Montreal and Toronto and some of the other great places I've been (some very nice canoeing in Quebec and of course, that wonderful water park in Edmonton).

I was hung up on the mountains, no doubt because it was Banff I was trying to explain to my relative (hopefully, no US citizens will stone me, but I've been to the Rockies in both Colorado and Canada, and while they both have their charms, nothing surpasses Banff for beauty, IMO. Although it's been a few years since I was there and I understand that the glaciers are less prominent than when I was last there).

Also, I probably wouldn't have posted too much prairie footage because I live in Illinois which is pretty much nothing but prairie. Beautiful in its own way, but you know how it is with your own back yard. The grass often looks greener in the mountains. (Of course, now I'm thinking that I need to go find some great prairie shots). :-D

Hey, guys. There is much more to Canada than mountains, although that would be enough. The mountains shown are only in the furthest western provinces. There are no mountains in all the other provinces. Beautiful lakes, forestry, hills, etc., yes, but no mountains. In fact, between the western and eastern provinces, there are the prairie provinces, which are known for being "flat" (but aren't always).
That being said, thank you for sharing the beautiful video. It brought back memories of my many trips out west. Yes, it is that beautiful there. Simply wonderful.
